About Al-Musteqim Model School

Our story, values, and the people who make us one of Kwara State's finest secondary schools.

✦ Our Story

A Legacy of Excellence Since 2001

Al-Musteqim Model School was founded in 2001 by a group of visionary Islamic scholars and educationists who saw the need for a school that would seamlessly blend world-class academic education with strong Islamic moral values.

Established in the heart of Oke-Fomo, Ilorin — a city renowned across Nigeria for its rich Islamic heritage and scholarly tradition — the school quickly gained a reputation for academic rigour, moral discipline, and holistic student development.

Over the past 25 years, Al-Musteqim has grown from a small school with three classrooms and forty students into a thriving institution enrolling over 1,200 students across JSS1 to SS3. We have produced graduates who have gone on to study Medicine, Engineering, Law, and various other disciplines at the finest universities in Nigeria and abroad.

Today, we stand as a beacon of educational excellence in Kwara State, consistently delivering outstanding WAEC and NECO results and winning state and national competitions across academics, sports, and the arts.

✦ Leadership Message

Principal's Message

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world — and at Al-Musteqim, we pair that power with the wisdom and values of our faith."

It is my profound honour to lead this outstanding institution. For over two decades, Al-Musteqim Model School has stood as a testament to what is possible when a community commits itself to educational excellence and moral development.

We do not measure our success solely by examination results, though those are impressive. We measure it in the quality of character, the depth of critical thinking, and the sense of purpose that our graduates carry with them into the world. We challenge every student to be the very best version of themselves — academically, morally, and spiritually.

Our dedicated team of teachers are not merely instructors; they are mentors, role models, and architects of the next generation. I am deeply proud of what we have built together, and I am excited about the future we are creating for every child who walks through our gates.
